SAMIRA HISCOCK
Samira Hiscock’s practice focuses on criminal law throughout British Columbia. She has experience defending a wide range of Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Cannabis Act, and Motor Vehicle Act offences, and has successfully acted as counsel on both sentence and conviction appeals. She has appeared as counsel in all levels of court within the province.
Samira is dedicated to fiercely defending her clients’ rights and holding the Crown to the strict standard of proof in all the cases she takes on. She is passionate about client advocacy and approaches her practice in a non-judgmental way ensuring the best possible outcome for her clients.
Samira completed her articles with the firm after receiving her J.D. from the University of Victoria. Prior to law school, Samira obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary, graduating with the highest distinction in Philosophy. Throughout her studies, Samira was recognized with numerous awards for academic excellence and her commitment to community service. While at law school, Samira completed a term at The Law Centre, assisting low-income individuals with various legal matters. She also volunteered for Access Pro Bono and the Law Student’s Legal Advice Program.
